Hi – I’m Deanna Jent, the Artistic Director of Mustard Seed Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. Our mission is to create engaging professional theatre that explores our relationship with God and our ethical responsibility to the world.
You can learn more about our productions and events at www.mustardseedtheatre.com
As for me, I’m a Professor of Theatre at Fontbonne University, a Mom of 3 teens (twins finishing high school and a 16-year old son who has autism), and wife to a harp-making, wood-carving Waldorf grade-school teacher.
I make theatre to explore my world and to raise questions. I hope you’ll join in the adventure!
What question has been at the forefront of your day to day existence these past few weeks? For me, “Where does the power of God omnipotent intersect with day to day struggles that don’t seem to change?”
This is my “test comment” to see if this thing works.
See you soon.
Gary
mmmm, mostly my question is “When will we all sleep soundly again?” which, I guess, is another version of your question.
Have the smaller St. Louis theaters thought about a joint season subscription? We have season tickets to the Rep, Rep Studio, Black Rep, and Opera Theatre, and would like to try some of the other venues. I’m thinking a 4-5 play package that would alternate amongst the small theaters. You would get some new exposure, and we would get some variety. And perhaps even more season subscribers. I don’t know what is the best venue to discuss this, but if you know of one, bring it up. Thanks.
